For my project, I decided to utilize my mannequin animations from Mixamo, a dinosaur, and a robot to create the greatest halftime show of all time. My thought process behind my design was showing past (dinosaurs), present (humans), and future (robots) performing together in their own way.

I first started off by designing my AR background in Aero. I began m=by utilizing a flat cube as the base of the football field and imported a football field image as a flat surface over the cube.
After spending some time making sure this was all lined up and corrected on the flat cube, I went to TurboSquid to search for assets that could go on the football field. Considering this was my first time using Aero, I wasn’t the best at creating the assets from scratch on my own, so TurboSquid helped a lot. I was able to download stadium bleachers, benches, and football goal posts.

From there, I adjusted each asset correctly, ensuring that they were lined up correctly on the field. Lastly, I wanted to bring it all together with a jumbo screen stating the halftime performance. To do this, I utilized a flat screen TV and scaled it to be large on top of the back stadium stairs. From there, I used Canva to create a background for the TV. I downloaded the background and placed it flat vertically against the TV, created the vision that out was he screen of the TV.

I then downloaded my character asset obj file from Mixamo, which was inspired by one of the cheer performances I do as a USC Spirit Leader, and I placed two of the mannequins on the field to do the choreography. I then placed the robot and dinosaur, and added specific animations for them as well, such as stretching and spinning.
I decided to make the mannequins, robot, and dinosaur bigger because if they were to the actual scale of the football field, it would be really hard to see them. It kind of made my AR experience more playful in a way, which I felt like fit perfectly.

All in all, I really enjoyed being able to experiment with Aero! I have always had an interest in making animated 3D scenes, and this was the perfect introduction for me into that sector. I would say that the most challenging part was first utilizing animations in Aero, which took some getting used to. however, after I felt more comfortable with controls, the rest was very smooth. I definitely feel that I have gained a new level of understanding towards AI, and hope to continue to use it in the future
