ANNOUNCEMENT FOR JUNIOR INVESTIGATOR AWARD AT BTEC 2019
The Brain Tumor Epidemiology Consortium (BTEC) is an open scientific forum organized to foster the development of multi-center, international and inter-disciplinary collaborations that will lead to a better understanding of the etiology, outcomes, and prevention of brain tumors.
BTEC provides an international platform for researchers studying brain tumor causes and outcomes. Our organization hosts annual meetings during which we present our current research and establish collaborative projects.
The 2019 Brain Tumor Epidemiology Consortium (BTEC)meeting will be held in Hawthorne/Manhattan Beach, California (near Los Angeles) from June 5-7, 2019. The meeting is entitled, “Brain Tumor Disparities: From Biology to Social Determinants”.

Thanks to generous funding from the American Brain Tumor Association(https://www.abta.org/), BTEC can mentor junior investigators by providing two travel grants (one for a US junior investigator and one for a non-US junior investigator). The travel grant consists in a complementary registration to the event, hotel (3 nights), and roundtrip economy airfare to Los Angeles.
These grants are available to junior researchers including PhD students, physicians (at resident or fellow stage), and post-doctoral trainees. The requirements are to send an abstract for an oral presentation along with a CV and picture by March 25, 2019 by email to Ms. Bénédicte Clement (firstname.lastname@example.org).
