Dr Charaziak has been awarded an Exploratory Research Grant (R21) from NIDCD to develop diagnostic tools for recognizing functional and physiological effects of sensory hearing loss. This 2-year project will explore whether noninvasive measurements of the inner ear electrical potentials can be refined to provide detailed information about function and health of the sensory cells in normal-hearing and transgenic mice.
If you are a student at USC who is interested in conducting research on this topic please feel free to contact Dr Charaziak at charazia [at] usc.edu
