DataFest S19 included several initial discussions, a project pitch session, follow up weekly labs and discussion sessions, and a final session with project presentations:

DataFest S19 Project Roster
DataFest S19 included data science projects in several areas:
- Discovering patterns of individual and group behaviors, using online multiplayer game data with techniques including social network analysis, survey data analysis, and text analysis. This is a new collaboration between the Annenberg School of Communication and the Viterbi School of Engineering.
- Analyzing environmental data, using health and environmental data with machine learning and electronic notebooks. This is a new collaboration between the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences and the Viterbi School of Engineering.
- Telling stories about Los Angeles by the numbers, using crime data for the city of Los Angeles with techniques such as geospatial analysis, entity resolution, and data visualization. This is an ongoing collaboration between the Annenberg School of Journalism and the Viterbi School of Engineering.
