University of Southern California Counseling & Mental Health (CMH) is pleased to announce 1 additional Postdoctoral/Postgraduate position in the Fellowship program. The position is a full-time, 12-month appointment, specifically providing clinical services to the university’s student population. This position will have a split clinical experience working at CMH as well as Multidisciplinary Eating Disorder/Body Image Concerns Committee (MEBIC). The duties include providing individual psychotherapy, specialty assessment, outreach and prevention, and psychotherapy groups for USC students at CM, consultation to the MEBIC team. Other responsibilities include providing supervision and training to pre-graduate trainees. This position may also have the opportunity to be involved in research within the Department of Psychiatry.
The fellow’s responsibilities with MEBIC will include providing short-term specialized treatment (4-6 sessions in most cases) to USC undergraduate or graduate students who are currently struggling with Eating and Body Image concerns. Fellows will also work with team to consider higher levels of care (HLOC), assisting with connecting students to care coordination, providing specific outreach services, referring to our long-term support, and administering and assessing ED assessments/measures.
The fellow must have either a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or masters degree in Social Work/Marriage and Family Therapy, and will be working under the supervision of a California licensed Clinical Psychologist, LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW. Strong clinical skills and experience are required. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential. Organizational skills, follow through, flexibility, openness to feedback, and ability to work independently in a responsible manner are all essential to this position.

The salary range is consistent with our other fellows depending on degree, and includes health benefits, sick time, paid vacation, professional days and $500 stipend for professional development.
