Benjamin Jasperson, Ph.D, P.E., is a postdoctoral scholar with the Department of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. His research is focused on developing and applying machine learning and data-driven methods to solve computational mechanics problems. Recent areas of interest include using neural networks for topology optimization, reduced order modeling of atomic scale properties, and leveraging large language models in mechanics.
