Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Teacher Education concentration at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. Dr. Copur-Gencturk’s research is focused on teacher knowledge, teaching practices and teacher development, including how these areas relate to student learning.
Dr. Rashmi Singh (PhD, Kent State University) is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education.
Sebnem Atabas
Dr. Sebnem Atabas (PhD, Florida State University) is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. Her research interests include conceptualization of what a rich learning environment requires teachers to accomplish in mathematics classrooms, how to challenge already established instructional practices aligned with a traditional approach, and mechanisms of teacher learning and teacher change to position students to engage in mathematical thinking in meaningful ways.
John Ezaki is a PhD student at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. He is working with Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk focusing on Math Education and Teacher Learning. His research interests include evaluation of teacher knowledge, assessment of professional development, and the development of teachers’ conceptual and pedagogical understandings.
