Coming in the Fall 2018:
Protein Expression and Purification
The CPPE provides ala carte and comprehensive protein expression and purification services for the USC and general community. End-to-end production of proteins includes: analysis of protein expression options, assistance in protein/construct design, subcloning** (***currently on a very limited basis), transformation of plasmids into E. Coli expression strains, expression of the protein, cell lysis, protein purification, and SDS-PAGE analysis.
Protein purification options include Immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC; typically Ni-NTA/His Tag), Ion exchange (both anion and cation), and size exclusion chromatography.
Protein purification will be performed using a GE Äkta system.
