Visiting Scholar
Research Summary
Saba Imani is a Research Scholar at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Architecture. Saba received her BS and MS, both in Architectural Engineering from Iran. Then she joined the Architecture and Urban Science Graduate Program at the Department of Architecture at Chiba University in Japan. In 2020, she moved to the US as a research scholar and has been working on several crossdisciplinary projects in which sustainability-oriented research evaluating environmental and human health impacts from urban infrastructure systems are the most prominent projects she has participated in. As an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in architecture and urban planning, she is pursuing her research on small and large-scale designs that emphasize the use of applied research in the field of sustainable built environments demonstrating human comfort regarding environmental factors as well as the performance of sustainable systems and human-centered smart technologies. She enriches her research through the use of computer simulation, empirical instrumentations, fieldwork, and data acquisition systems.
