Research summary
Dong Hee Choi is a visiting scholar at the USC School of Architecture and a professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Kyungil University, having earned a Ph.D. at Seoul National University. Her professional journey includes a postdoctoral research fellowship at the National Research Council Canada and the Pennsylvania State University. Her primary research interests include environmental performance and energy analysis, indoor air quality, ventilation, and high-performance building facades. Notable work includes computational fluid dynamics modeling for optimizing building façade designs and measurements for assessing indoor air quality. Her current research focuses on multifunctional building facade systems, including the development of an Electrostatic Precipitator Integrated with Double skin facade (EPID) to enhance indoor environmental quality.
