Research Summary
Dong Hwa Kang is a visiting scholar at the USC School of Architecture and a full professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at University of Seoul, Korea. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Seoul National University and has an extensive background in environmental systems for sustainable and healthy buildings. His career includes postdoctoral fellowships at the National Research Council Canada and the Pennsylvania State University. Since 2014, He has been working at the University of Seoul, focusing on indoor air quality control technologies for healthy buildings. Currently, he is conducting research projects to explore indoor pollutant transport mechanisms, ventilation, and air cleaning technologies for residential and commercial buildings, along with HVAC systems for healthcare facilities.
