Welcome to the Trojan Family! As you prepare for your student’s arrival on campus, we want to provide you with the resources and tools you’ll need to help your student succeed and thrive. Below you’ll find what communications you can expect to receive and how to stay connected and up-to-date with on-campus news and information.
Email &
Newsletters
- The Trojan Parents & Families (TPF) newsletter goes out at the beginning of each month during the academic year (August – May) to parents and family members of current students.
- University memoranda and other community emails will be forwarded to parents and families from the Vice President for Student Life
- Parents and family members of current students are added to the current parent email distribution list when your student has officially matriculated in the third week of your student’s first semester on campus. For Fall 2023, that date is September 15.
- If you are still not receiving university communications after the above date, please email parentsoftroy@usc.edu with your information.
Social
Media
- Follow @uscfamilies on Instagram to stay up-to-date on news, deadlines, events, and tips for you and your student.
- Join the USC Parents Group on Facebook, a forum for current parents to ask each other questions, advice, recommendations, and tips about the USC student and parent experience.
The purpose of the USC Parents Group is to provide parents of current USC students a forum to support and enhance their journey as Trojan parents. We strongly encourage parents and family of recent graduates to kindly remove themselves from the group to make sure that current family members are receiving the most up-to-date and relevant information. You can read more on the Facebook USC Parents Group Rules page.
The parent portal, which was simply housed contact information and was not a social group, is currently under construction. Please reach out to parentsoftroy@usc.edu if you need to update your information.
