SC Spotlight is the home of employee recognition programs for Finance Division employees. This is a space where together, we can inspire and celebrate greatness on the spot when we see it! Housed in SC Spotlight are two recognition programs: Above and Beyond and Cheers to Peers. To redeem points for prizes through Above and Beyond or send an e-card to a colleague through Cheers to Peers, log in to your SC Spotlight account by clicking the button below.


Above and Beyond is an ‘on the spot’ Recognition program designed to highlight, recognize, and reward employees who go ‘above and beyond’ by aligning with our values, engaging in continuous efforts, making a positive impact, or contributing to the organization.

All employees in the Finance Division are eligible to receive an Above and Beyond Award. Business Units in the Finance Division include: Office of the CFO, Office of the Comptroller, Financial and Business Services, Office of Budget and Planning, Treasury, Health Plans, Capital Construction and Facilities Management Services, Information Technology Services

Includes: 

    • Managers
    • Supervisors
    • Exempt Employees
    • Non Exempt Employees

Does Not Include: 

    • Resource Employees
    • Directors
    • AVP

AVP, directors, executive directors, managers, and supervisors can award Above and Beyonds. Input will be welcome from all employees, staff, and supervisors, to avoid favoritism. If you would like to nominate a colleague for an Above and Beyond Award, please email your supervisor or the person's supervisor with your nomination reason. It will be at the discretion of the supervisor to accept the nomination.  Decision makers will be responsible for completing the online nomination indicating the type of work behavior that warranted the award.

Decision makers will be responsible for identifying the program performance criteria and recognizing that behavior on the spot when deemed appropriate. They will look for such criteria within and/or outside of their areas of responsibility and designate an award each quarter.

Each Above and Beyond award is 625 points added to your SC Spotlight account.
Points are banked and redeemed on your SC Spotlight account for a wide selection of gifts or awards. Points remain on the website until redeemed. Employees can browse and shop awards at any time based on a selected point tier. Once an award is selected, the points are automatically deducted from your point bank. The selected award would then be shipped to your address.
