Marking its 30th anniversary, the USC Good Neighbors Campaign is the university’s signature community outreach initiative supporting social impact programs that advance USC’s role as an anchor institution in Los Angeles. Thanks to the generous support of university staff and faculty, over $30 million has been raised benefitting 1,064 neighborhood grants. USC Good Neighbors was created to support collaboration between USC’s academic community and nonprofit organizations that have a visible, positive impact on the neighborhoods surrounding the University Park and Health Sciences campuses.
Good Neighbors is focused on supporting collaborative initiatives and community engagement across various focus areas. Aligned with USC’s Unifying Values of equity, diversity, inclusion, and the well-being of our communities, funding is channeled into the advancement of education, STEAM, health and wellness, sustainability, economic and workforce training, and the visual and performing arts. Throughout the year, the active engagement of university staff, faculty, students, schools and nonprofit organizations strengthens relationships within our communities.
The positive impact of University-community partnerships is visible in our local neighborhoods.
