Dvera I. Saxton, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Anthropology Department at California State University, Fresno. She recently published a book, The Devil’s Fruit: Farmworkers, Health, and Environmental Justice with Rutgers University Press (2021). Her current research explores the lived and embodied experiences of aging in place for elder immigrant farmworkers in California’s San Joaquin Valley. She is also a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health with the Global Brain Health Institute.
