A Powerful Combination

Welcome to the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry, a joint project of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the University of Southern California (USC).

This collaboration between two of the world’s leading academic institutions prepares students for senior management positions in industries including new media, entertainment, publishing, e-commerce, tourism and more.

Founded in 2015, the institute leverages the influence of SJTU with the expertise and resources of USC to create extraordinary learning opportunities for the next generation of leaders in creative fields.

Through the institute, SJTU students can spend one year in residence at USC in Los Angeles, where they earn a Master of Management Studies (MMS).

Designed to expand knowledge and foster professional development, this unique experience puts students on the path to lasting career success.

  December 7, 2012 – SJTU and USC sign a memorandum of understanding kicking off the inaugural chapter of ICCI.
• 
  November 4, 2014 – A delegation led by Provost Garrett visits SJTU, resulting in the signing of the cooperation agreement establishing ICCI.
• 
  September 12, 2015 – Class of 2015 started the master degree study at ICCI.
• 
  October 29, 2015 – A delegation led by former USC Provost Michael Quick pays an official visit to SJTU for ICCI’s first Joint Institutional Committee meeting.
