Who We Are

The Keck Human Rights Clinic (KHRC) is a student-run clinic dedicated to providing forensic medical and psychological evaluations to survivors of human rights abuses seeking asylum in the United States. KHRC was founded in 2017 by USC-Keck medical students and the Department of Family Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC. The clinic is the first of its kind on the West Coast and works in collaboration with Physicians for Human Rights (PHR).

In addition, KHRC has launched a pilot program to provide pro-bono medical record review for cases represented by low- or pro-bono legal counsel in which an individual’s health has been affected by justice-involved human rights violations.
