Responsive Topographies

This design-research stream investigates the possibilities for shapeshifting topographies utilizing landscape implants to transform surface conditions in response to climatological stimuli. Experimenting with metamorphic materials and AI-integrated sensors, potentials for surface modulation and adaptation of form are investigated, programmed, and tested through design to negotiate complex hydrologic and biological forces.
