The LDRLab is located at the Center for Health Professions building on the USC Health Sciences Campus (see campus map), about 2 miles from Downtown Los Angeles.
The lab is equipped with:
- Positive Science head-mounted eye trackers for studying visual attention in real-world, mobile contexts, in both infants and adults
- Wearable sensors (inertial measurement units and step counters) to measure infant movement and body position in the home environment
- Seating and mobility equipment, including walkers, gait trainers, and dynamic body weight support harness systems, to improve access to the environment in infants with motor impairments
Detailed observation and measurement of spontaneous infant behavior is a cornerstone of our work. We use Datavyu software along with customized, shareable protocols to measure behavior from video.
