MBA Full Time 1999

  • Name: Rob O’Leary
  • Degree and Class: MBA Full Time 1999
  • Note: I started a range of companies, including iot tracking platforms, vending machines, eviction services and soon to be dumb businesses. Some are doing well, some suck. I am planning on launching ‘Dumb Company’, an investment fund in 2025, when the economy implodes and use the funding to begin purchasing incredibly dumb businesses like laundromats, parking lots – self-storage facilities and automated car washes at discount valuations. I proudly still carry and use a Samsung S10 from 2004 that I call George. If you you make a negative comment about George during reunion, I’ll smash your latest iPhone with it. My kids are 23 (son, graduating from LMU next month, played volleyball for SMU for a few years, placed 3,200 out of 10,500 at $10,000 entry world series of poker this year) and 21 (daughter, a junior at Tulane, is into design and F1 racing). Moved from rugby to basketball to ice hockey now – which I still play weekly. I have only been suspended twice for fighting, so I feel I’m slightly maturing because the two guys both really, really, really deserved it. Holding out hope that I can be Chuck Boeltl in the next lifetime. If you believe in that type of stuff.
