Research Interests
Musculotendinous pathologies result in impaired function and reduced quality of life. I am interested in the mechanisms by which the sensory and motor systems adapt to such pathologies. Currently, I am investigating adaptations to Achilles’ tendinopathy from the perspectives of muscle-tendon unit physiology and neuromuscular control of the ankle. This work will provide insight into the individual functions of muscle and tendon, and may hold the key to breaking the cycle of progressive tendon degeneration.
