Ongoing Initiatives

  • LGBTQ+ Pride Stickers: MedLambda has purchased pride stickers to be placed on LAC+USC badges. These stickers are meant to be a sign of solidarity for our LGBTQ+ patients, faculty, students, admin and staff. These can be picked up at the lobby of the Keith Administration Building (KAM).
  • Partnership with the Alexis Project: MedLambda is currently working on forming a partnership with the Alexis Project at LAC+USC. This partnership would allow KSOM medical students to get more experience with LGBTQ+ care.
  • OUTList: MedLambda has released the first OUTList at KSOM which consists of out faculty, residents, staff, and students who have courageously made themselves visible for current and future students to feel supported.
  • LGBTQ+ Physician Mentoring: MedLambda is currently working on setting up the first ever LGBTQ+ mentorship program for KSOM medical students.
  • USC Undergraduate LGBTQ+ Mentoring with QuEST: MedLambda has recently partnered with the USC student organization Queers in Engineering Science and Technology (QuEST) to pair LGBQT+ KSOM medical students with LGBTQ+ pre-medical students at USC.
