At MESH’s first event, Alice Liu from USC Viterbi and Innovation Node LA (IN-LA) spoke about some of the resources available through IN-LA, one of the eight National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (“I-Corps”) national nodes. IN-LA offers support for new ventures and ecosystem-developing programs to link innovators with capital and other resources. In particular, Alice spoke about ZAP! and BOOM!, two short courses available to early entrepreneurs that emphasize the “Lean Startup” methodology and help innovators successfully launch their own companies. These courses help innovators and entrepreneurs launch their own companies successfully starting with the Lean Startup methodology and techniques.
