The Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences, with mental health providers in USC Student Health, Counseling and Mental Health Services, encourage you to explore mental health and well-being resources offered within the department and across USC’s campus.
COUNSELING AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES:
Please refer to Student Health’s Counseling and Mental Health site to learn more about the variety of programs offered by the department, such as individual therapy, group therapy, crisis support, psychiatric services, and specialties for gender-based harm.
PSYCHIATRY AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES:
The Department’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services clinic is staffed by culturally informed and diverse faculty, and offers greater access to intermediate- and long-term, solution-focused, evidence-based care for more-complex conditions. USC students are recommended to first meet with Counseling and Mental Health Services in USC Student Health to discuss their personalized treatment plan prior to making appointments with PBHS.
CRISIS SUPPORT:
24/7 Crisis Text Line support:
Students may text TROJAN to 741741 on your mobile phone or via WhatsApp for 24/7 texting-based support from the trained volunteers at the Crisis Text Line (CTL). CTL is a national non-profit service and a recognized support partner of USC Student Health. It is not a psychotherapy service. No individual patient data is collected or shared through this line.
