How to Receive Naloxone

LAST UPDATED: 2/8/24

Naloxone Distribution Update:

Narcans are now available at the USC Student Health Centers. Fentanyl Test Strips are still sold out and we are working to obtain additional strips as soon as possible. Please note that students are no longer required to fill out any sort of form (i.e. attestation form, Google request form) or complete a knowledge quiz to be eligible to obtain any harm-reduction supplies. Please stop by any of the following locations and pick up your kit during normal business hours:

Engemann Student Health Center
University Park Campus
1031 West 34th St.
Los Angeles, CA 90089

Eric Cohen Student Health Center
Health Sciences Campus
1510 San Pablo St. Suite 104
Los Angeles, CA 90033

Lastly, we also distribute Narcan through the student health center at the Farmer’s Market at UPC every Wednesday from 12 PM – 2 PM.

We have now officially transitioned into “fishbowl” method of distribution

  • NARCAN® Nasal Sprays and Fentanyl Test Strips are now being distributed via the “fishbowl” method, where students can come into Engemann and Eric Cohen Student Health Centers simply grab a harm-reduction supply of their choice if they would like to.

Prior to obtaining your harm-reduction supply, we encourage you to watch the following video:

Please note that CPNP USC has been rebranded as AAPP (American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists) USC.

Note: We want to also inform you that Narcan, now available as an over-the-counter (OTC) product, is a covered benefit of the USC Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP/Aetna) with $0 copay, available at the USC Pharmacies and other retailers.
