Welcome to Open Access LA! Open Access is a free online portal designed to connect food entrepreneurs to local resources including capital, permitting, licensing, loan and credit opportunities, technical assistance, training programs, and more. These resources can help Los Angeles’ food entrepreneurs plan, launch, and grow their food truck, restaurant, cafe, private label, catering, or other food businesses.
Open Access LA was developed by Food & Society at the Aspen Institute, which aims to help food entrepreneurs navigate the many challenges to financing and business ownership in the food sector. The Food & Society team created the open-source web code available at no-cost to cities and other organizations to launch portals to help food entrepreneurs in their communities.
Open Access LA is being supported by the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, and the Institute for Food System Equity at the University of Southern California.
