What is a POM-hub?

It is a place where students and researchers interested in optics can gather to watch POM as a group, creating local communities.

Interested in creating a hub? Here are the primary responsibilities as an organizer:

  1. Reserve a conference room or similar room that can seat a medium size group
  2. Register for the event on behalf of the group
  3. Register your hub (register here)
  4. Act as the point of contact for people interested in joining your hub
  5. Stream the event from a computer (e.g. your laptop, a computer in the room)

Here are some helpful event tips and a POM-hub checklist!

Some hubs are being hosted by student chapters (e.g. OSA, SPIE, IEEE, APS/EPS) and providing food/drinks for attendees. This is entirely optional.
