Two items in my room that bring me joy are my keyboard and scooter.
I’ve been looking for a keyboard for a while, and I am excited to finally have a keyboard on my desk. I am doubly as excited to have the keyboard to be a product that brings me happiness while I use it. The clacking noises of the keyboard makes me feel more productive, and the customizability of the lighting helps bring some personality to the keyboard as well. There are two of my favorite presets shown in the photos above — one is named “Coast” and mimics the colors of the beach, turning blue when pressed; the other is named “Haze” and breathes blue and purple, fading the light off when pressed.
This is not the greatest photo of my scooter, but it also brings me a lot of joy in the form of nostalgia. It was the first “vehicle” that I used when I got to USC my first year and I have since swapped to a bike since I live a bit further. However, it still reminds me of scootering on campus with friends those first few years. I will still use it when I need to get somewhere fast, but can’t store my bike anywhere. A couple years ago in an Academy class I also sketched out some ideas that I feel may improve the scooter experience, and I ended up weaving a scooter basket out of Daily Trojans.
