ANGER – IVAN

The casting process started with 3D printing the mould for pouring. The challenge was finding a way to create a space within that could be filled with ink or some other kind of fluid that would squirt at the user when squeezed. The solution I decided on was to cast a tide pod along side the silicone, when the silicone sets, I can flush out the tide pod with water, leaving a space inside the object. The words were then painted to highlight that the object is NOT to be squeezed, and whoever ends up defying the rules squeezing it will be doused in ink.

It was difficult to gauge and position the tide pod within the object. I think the pod was set too close to the wall and ended up with holes developed on their own because the walls were too thin. Additional openings were introduced to the top/center of the piece, but the liquid still preferred to exit through the side hole.
