I knew my friend was having a rough day – her dog had just died and she was so overwhelmed from a job that was asking too much of her, so I had helped her quit it the same night. I wanted to provide something that would show my love for her and that was unexpected. Taking note of all the little things I knew about her, the next day I brought her lemonade, a fox mug, and a face mask for her from Target. The action hopefully conveyed my love for her and was unexpected from me. While the lemonade and face mask are long gone, the fox mug remains as a vessel for growing green onions, and hopefully reminds her that she is never alone.
