Elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation
Dr. Saito, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, and Pathology has been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), one of the nation’s oldest medical honor societies and is among the few organizations focused on the special role of physician-scientists in research. Dr. Saito is the 19th ASCI member in the history of Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.

The Saito laboratory received a research funding from PhoenixBio Co., Ltd. for the study of the cell biology of hepatocytes using state of the art bio-engineering technology of humanized liver chimeric mouse model system.
