On October 13, 2018, the Street Medicine team were honored as part of the Emmys for public programming for their role in the PBS special, “Close to Home Street Medicine.” The special was filmed in Allentown, PA and focused on the work that was done with their patients on the streets. It is important to continue to share the stories of patients and providers who are filling this unique need across the nation and their innovative approach to providing medicine to this underserved population.
