Argonne National Laboratory seeks multiple postdoctoral candidates to participate in projects of strategic national importance in quantum information science. The postdoctoral appointees will join the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne that is a leader in many areas of quantum information science research, including development of full-stack quantum compilers, use of high-performance computing for simulations of quantum circuits and systems, and development of quantum network protocols.
We require a recent or soon-to-be completed PhD in computing, engineering, physics, or a related discipline and interest in quantum information science. We are particularly interested in candidates in one of the following areas: (i) development or optimization of quantum compilers, algorithms, or circuits (ii) development of quantum network protocols and use of FPGAs, or (iii) simulation of open quantum systems, noise characterization, and quantum error correction.
Both U.S. and international candidates are welcome to apply at https://bit.ly/3lYwDOu. Positions are available immediately as well as with start dates in 2022. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
