Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Quantum Computing/Annealing, University of Southern California

A postdoctoral position in theoretical quantum computing/annealing is available in Prof. Daniel Lidar’s group at USC. The position is available immediately, and is funded under the DARPA Reversible/Quantum Machine Learning and Simulation (RQMLS) program. The successful applicant will work closely with a team of researchers and graduate students on problems of both a fundamental and applied nature covered under the RQMLS program. Experience in at least one of quantum annealing, quantum machine learning, or quantum simulation is strongly preferred.

Under the current COVID19 guidelines USC is expected to resume full in person activities in the Fall. As such, relocation to Los Angeles by Fall is preferred. However, the position can start remotely.
