Application deadline: Saturday, October 1, 2022
Research group: Quantum Condensed Matter Research Group, RIKEN
Employer web page: http://dml.riken.jp
One postdoc would be working on Coherent Ising Machines (CIMs), the dynamics of coupled Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPOs) and related topics (including, e.g., topological photonics, quantum non-Hermitian dissipative dynamics, PT-symmetry in optics, etc.).
Another postdoc would be working on quantum computing, especially using superconducting arrays of coupled resonators and qubits.
More senior candidates could be considered for a Research Scientist position.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until filled.
Location: Riken, Saitama, Japan. Riken is located next to several nice large parks (on its South West side). There is also very convenient on campus housing inside Riken.
The work might start in “remote mode”, because of the current travel ban. Namely, the researcher could remain where is currently located, or anywhere else. However, after the travel ban is lifted, the postdoc would be expected to move to RIKEN (within a few months after the borders open, so there would be time to plan the move).
Please send applications to both ais@riken.jp and fnori@riken.jp.
Our previous postdocs have been very productive in our group, have been very pleased to be here, and they have been visiting us for years after their postdocs end. The group is very cooperative, and group members help each other.
More information about our recent work can be found in our arXiv postings. Also, PDF files of our publications are available via this Link: https://dml.riken.jp/pub/.
