Established in 1978, the Western Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (Western TAAC) supported by a Department of Commerce grant, assists U.S. manufacturers to improve their international competitiveness.
Mission
To provide matching fund grants for technical services through independent industry consultants with expertise in broad areas such as marketing, management, engineering, and quality systems for import impacted firms.
Eligibility
Manufacturing, service and agricultural firms that have been import impacted as demonstrated by declining sales or production and decline or anticipated decline in employment levels.
