Principal Investigator
Dr. Zaro is the Assistant Dean for Assessment of the Office of Research and Graduate Education and an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences department at the Alfred E. Mann USC School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
She received her B.S. in Chemistry from Stockton University and earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California (USC). She has a breadth of leadership and experience in academia and the pharmaceutical industry, where she led the design and development of aerosol formulations and protein drug analytics.
Dr. Zaro’s current research focuses on targeted drug delivery methods for recombinant fusion proteins. She is majorly working on developing novel protein-drug conjugates as effective drug delivery systems and improving existing delivery tools for diseases not limited to diabetes, cancer, and infectious disease.
