Outreach
Dr. Luhar has been partnering with the STEM Academy of Hollywood for the past couple of years, a public school in the Los Angeles Unified School District that features a rigorous interdisciplinary and project-based curriculum and provides multiple student internships and community based learning opportunities. In addition to serving on the STEM Academy Board of Advisors and helping out with student competitions and professional development activities, Dr. Luhar has also hosted lab visits where the students get to pursue hands-on flow visualization and drag measurement experiments with model cars. The introductory lecture can be found here. Further documentation regarding the activity and assessment available upon request.
