Depth and Complexity Model

The Prompts of Depth and Complexity emerged from the California State Department of Education (1994) and Jacob Javits Grant, Project T.W.O (1995) as a means to provide gifted students learning opportunities to guide acquisition of skills or content with the purpose of stimulating depth and complexity. While the terms are commonly represented with icons, their value lies in the utilization of the word prompts.
