Apply to be a mentor to an undergraduate student!

Medical students currently enrolled at the Keck School of Medicine are invited and encouraged to apply to be a mentor to a Keck PREP scholar. Mentors serve as a role model, guide, and resource for pre-med/pre-health students. Mentors are paired with one mentee and are expected to cultivate a supportive relationship that will contribute to their mentee’s persistence and success on the pre-health path.
Mentors provide support by sharing advice, insights, and lessons learned from their personal experiences. Mentors help instill confidence and belief in their mentees that they, too, can become future physicians and clinicians.
Mentors are expected to attend two official mentor events, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Throughout the year, mentors are expected to meet or check-in with their mentees at least once a month.
