Input format: The input file is loaded as CSV in one of three formats:
- CSV UTF-8 (Comma Delimited)
- Comma Separated Values
- MS-DOS Comma Separated
Header: The first row is expected to be a header. For assignee search, the assignee column must be populated. Other columns will be evaluated only if populated but are optional. The header information is important to prevent problems in two possible configurations in which a comma is used internally in a field:
- You may enter city, state as the location.
- Your assignee name may be entered as NewAssignee, Inc. and the “, Inc.” will be discarded, as will related entity identifiers (e.g., LLC, Co., etc.).
