Deniz Kumlu

Deniz Kumlu carried out his MS research work in the OMLP group at USC, where he developed a system for autonomous ship recognition from color images, in which the training data combined real images and synthetically generated images. He received his MS in August, 2012. He is currently a PhD student at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. His current research is in the areas of particle filter tracking, Bayesian inference and Sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) methods. He is also giving lectures in signal processing and image processing courses as a Teaching Assistant at the Turkish Naval Academy.
