USC Community
USC Rossier EdVentures is a program of USC’s Center for Engineering in Education (CEE), which was founded in 2017 by the Rossier School of Education, with the support of the Northrop Grumman Foundation.
We aim to fully support the mission of the Rossier School of Education: The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education (pronounced “ross-EAR”) is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and to address disparities that affect historically marginalized groups. We teach our students to value and respect the cultural context of the communities in which they work and to interrogate the systems of power that shape policies and practices. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most intractable educational problems.
Uniquely our Program collaborates with other schools at our University. Collaborating USC Centers and Offices include the Rossier School of Education’s Center EDGE, Marshall School of Business’ Blackstone LaunchPad, Viterbi School of Engineering’s Student Entrepreneurship Education Program, and the Viterbi Office of Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the School of Dramatic Arts, which provides pitch coaching to our cohort founders.
