Applications are invited for a number of open postdoctoral research associate (PDRA)/senior research associate positions in the theory of quantum computation, tenable from a date to be agreed.
Areas of particular interest include, but are not restricted to: quantum algorithms and their underpinning mathematics; architectures for quantum computers; applications of quantum computers; quantum computational complexity and Hamiltonian complexity; algorithms for simulation of quantum systems; and verification/testing of quantum devices.
The PDRAs will have the opportunity to work with Prof Noah Linden and/or Dr Ashley Montanaro in the School of Mathematics, University of Bristol.
The applicant should have, or expect to soon receive, a PhD in the theory of quantum computation or quantum information; or otherwise should be able to show evidence of expertise in this area. The applicant should also have a track record of high-quality publications.
The School of Mathematics is one of the leading centres for research and teaching in mathematical sciences in the UK, and offers a stimulating and friendly environment with first-rate facilities.
