The Quantum Information Science Group (http://cmqc.snu.ac.kr) in the Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://physics.snu.ac.kr/) at Seoul National University invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow in theoretical optical quantum information processing. The successful applicant will perform theoretical research on optical quantum computing, error correction, communication, metrology, quantum information theory, quantum foundations and/or related topics. An ideal candidate would possess a strong background and research experiences in theoretical quantum optics, quantum information theory, optical quantum computation, error correction and/or quantum communication with a Ph.D. degree.
The appointment shall be for two years with a high possibility of extension subject to the scientific productivity and funding condition. The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. On-campus accommodations with reasonable rates are available for non-Korean researchers. Health and safety insurance and severance pay will be supported according to university regulations and employment laws. Additional financial support for research activities and necessary facilities will be provided.
