PhD and postdoc position in quantum correlations/Bell nonlocality at University of Warsaw (Poland)

We will soon announce 1 PhD and 1 postdoc position in the group of Jędrzej Kaniewski within a SONATA project “Fundamental aspects of the quantum set of correlations” funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. The potential research topics include:

  • quantum correlations and Bell nonlocality,
  • self-testing of quantum systems and certification of quantum devices,
  • device-independent randomness and cryptography.

For the postdoc position the university requires the candidate to hold a PhD degree awarded in 2014 or later (maternity/medical extensions might apply) by an institution different from the University of Warsaw.

The expected starting date is 1st October 2020 or (slightly) later. The official calls will be announced soon but due to the special circumstances all potential candidates are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible. This is particularly important for the PhD candidates who need to be admitted to the doctoral school before they can receive a stipend.

Interested candidates should submit their CV and publication list (if applicable) to jkaniewski@fuw.edu.pl with “[PhD]” or “[Postdoc]” in the subject of the email.
