For our new project on single time-bin entangled photon pairs from semiconductor quantum dots in collaboration with the universities of Münster (Germany) and Linz (Austria) we are looking for a post-doc with experience in quantum optics, ideally with semiconductors and sources of nonclassical light. This experience should be documented by a strong publication record.
Innsbruck offers a great and competitive scientific environment in the fields of quantum optics and quantum information. The Photonics group focuses on using photonic integrated circuits and semiconductor nanostructures for quantum optics and quantum communications tasks.
The position is for three years, funded by a grant from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Your initial contract would be for one year with the possibility of extension to the full three years depending on your performance. The respective collective bargaining agreement stipulates a minimum gross yearly salary of € 54453 for full-time employment. Furthermore, the university has numerous attractive benefits.
