Our Vision

Treweek lab is the intersection of neuroscience and engineering. Our works focus on understanding the CNS and PNS pathways and physiological responses to the external stimuli on nerves and neurons to develop body worn or implantable medical devices to address some of the most pressing issues in neurological diseases.

Our interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists, electrophysiologists, electrical/ultrasound engineers and computer scientists bring diverse and complementary specialties needed to tackle health challenges that cannot be overcome by one field of science or engineering.

Our lab specializes in:

  1.  Miniaturizing electronics for implantable devices and catheters.
  2. Cellular phenotyping across thick tissues in-vivo and in-situ.
  3. Systemic targeting CNS and PNS cells with engineered AAV capsids.
  4. Functional profiling (two-photon imaging) and RNA profiling.
