PTMLA is the division’s only student run extracurricular club that focuses on student development in diverse settings and with diverse populations. By becoming a member, you have the opportunity to meet new people in the division, be a part of our service-learning experiences, grow as a clinician, and make an impact outside of the classroom.
Why Should I Become A Member?
PTMLA has members of all years so you can mingle and meet members from different years in the program, alumni, and other professionals in our field! Our speakers series is designed to provide you with opportunities to learn about topics outside of the classroom such as treating patients who lack social services, how to treat patients in the LGBTQIAA+ community, nutrition for patients young and old in a physical therapy context, and so much more! With our service learning opportunities, you can have the opportunity to learn about healthcare/PT and different cultures in other countries or promote PT as a profession to our local community. Please join the PTMLA family to see what you can learn from our community!
