The Western Research Application Center (WESRAC) is a stand-alone research center within the Viterbi School of Engineering (VSOE) at the University of Southern California (USC). It was established in 1967 to stimulate technology transfer and economic development, and to provide technical assistance to improve competitiveness of the manufacturing sector. WESRAC is staffed by full-time business and management professionals and maintains linkages to the faculty and administrative systems of the University.
WESRAC operates programs with local, state, regional and national responsibilities.
WESRAC’s strength is helping small manufacturing business reinvent themselves in today’s market.
WTAAC is a program under WESRAC. The Western Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (WTAAC) is an independent, non-profit organization funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration to manage the TAA for Firms program. We are one of eleven national non-profit organizations that provide TAA benefits to eligible firms.
